The DCA will once again be transformed into a miniature golf course where children of all ages will be able to play 18 holes with family and friends while they can also enjoy light refreshments. The day will begin with a special program for the Challenger Children at 9:00am and then open to the general public beginning at 10:00 am. For the first time this year there will be a 19th hole putting contest for those interested in being named the DCA's Putting Champion. The top four winners will be awarded prizes.

Music Director Sandra Shaw Murphy is the Director of the Silvermine School of Music, Music Director of Greenfield Hill Congregational Church in Fairfield, and the Artistic Director of the Dr. Leon Tec Showcase for Outstanding Young Musicians. She is a noted duo-pianist, collaborative musician and teacher and coaches the DCA duo-pianists weekly in her SIlvermine Studio.
Asmission is $10. Refreshments and cabaret seating.

Ladies Night Fundraiser will be held Wednesday, November 30th at
Good Food Good Things located at 865 Post Road in Darien. The public is invited
to attend this cookie swap, cocktail party and raffle benefit that will be held
from 7:30-9:30pm. Space is limited at this event so advance ticket
purchase of $20 per ticket is required at the YWCA Darien/Norwalk website www.ywcadariennorwalk.org. Proceeds
from the event benefit YWCA Darien/Norwalk’s community service programs include
YWCA Parent Awareness with lectures to provide support and guidance to parents
in our community and scholarships for the YWCA Job Search Support Program which

Darien Rowayton Bank will host an art opening and wine reception for Darien artist Linda Lyons on Thursday, November 17, from 4 – 6. Entitled “About Town,” this new collection of artwork will be on display through the end of November.
The sea and changes of season are Linda’s favorite themes in painting. This collection of new works celebrates favorite local destinations throughout Darien.
A graduate of the School for the Arts at Boston University, she is also an alum of Yale School of Art Summer Program in Design, which was conducted for twenty one years in Brissago, Switzerland. Now working towards her masters degree in painting, Linda has recently studied with Robert Alberetti, William Bailey, Robert Berlind, Riley Brewster, Judy Glanzman, Margaret Grimes, Barbara Grossman, Stanley Lewis, Marjorie Portnow and many others.
A wine tasting will be conducted by Nicholas Roberts, Ltd. - Fine Wine Merchants of Darien.
All works are available for purchase. A percentage of the proceeds goes to The Neuropathy Association, supporting research for the causes and cures for peripheral neuropathy.

The Children's School of Stamford and Darien Library welcome Jill Mays, an occupational therapist, who will share information about early childhood motor development.
Jill has been active in Fairfield County for more than 20 years and has worked with and consulted for many local schools. Jill's book, Your Child's Motor Development Story: Understanding and Enhancing Development From Birth to Their First Sport, was published last month and will be available for purchase after the event. A booksigning will also follow the presentation.
